Universitas Nias Raya, Kamis (02/02/2023), Universitas Nias Raya menerima kunjungan yang luar biasa dari dua peneliti asal Belanda yaitu Gert Jan (antropolog) dari Universitas Utrecht dan Sadiah Boonstra (sejarawan) dengan tujuan hendak mengadakan kolaborasi dalam menemukan makna yang mendalam dari penelitian yang telah dilakukan oleh seorang Antropolog bernama J.P.Kleiweg de Zwaan tentang “The Facial Plaster Casts” di daerah Nias. Penelitian yang dilakukan Kleiweg adalah beliau mencetak beberapa wajah dengan semen dari berbagai daerah yaitu dari Nias, Minangkabau dan Jakarta untuk menemukan teori ras.

Museum MACAN's "Agus Suwage: The Theater of Me", is a major survey exhibition of the work of Agus Suwage, one of Indonesia’s leading contemporary artists, who came to prominence in the mid-to-late 1990s. Curated by Museum MACAN Director Aaron Seeto and refracted through intimate and personal narratives, the work in this exhibition addresses sweeping cultural and political themes. The exhibition includes around 80 works, consisting of major installations, sculptures, paintings, and drawings, and explores the development of Agus Suwage’s work in Indonesia’s Reformasi context.
